Venue Spotlight: 901 Lindsay

The 901 Lindsay is a 1900s church transformed into the classic bride’s dream wedding venue. It is located in the heart of downtown Chattanooga and is known for its breath-taking stained class windows and timeless architecture. We sat down with event manager, Kaitlynn, to learn more about all they have to offer!

About the venue

901 Lindsay is a historical church in downtown Chattanooga. It was built in the early 1900s and was actually the first congressional church in Chattanooga. Fun fact!

The true appeal of this beautiful venue is that couples can have their romantic church wedding and be surrounded by the city at the same time. This venue is perfect for a classic, romantic bride that wants a church wedding that allows for the ceremony and reception to be in the same space!

Brides can have the gorgeous stained glass windows indoors for the ceremony, or take it outside to the beautiful garden surrounded by the city.

Services and packages

901 Lindsay offers a one-stop-shop for brides to try and create a stress free planning process. They have all the tables, chairs, linens, in-house centerpieces, and staff for set up and clean up. They also handle all the food, beverages and alcohol for brides and customize whatever is needed to make their day perfect!

The venue can host up to 150 guests, but have seen 100 guests fit the most comfortably.

The space

901 Lindsay has a gorgeous inside space with wooden floors, high ceilings and colorful stained glass windows. There is also a tented patio area, which is great for cocktail hour and outside seating. As well as our outdoor garden space which is perfect for ceremonies, lawn games and photos.

When to book

Kailtynn recommends booking as soon as possible if couples have a date they have fallen in love with! If there is more flexibility with the date that allows for more time before you need to lock it in! Some weddings are booked two years in advance and some are booked two months in advance, everyone is different.

Keep in mind the busiest seasons are March through June for spring/summer weddings, October is the busiest month for fall weddings. December is jam packed full of holiday parties and holiday weddings!

Advice from Kaitlynn

“Go and see all the venues you loved online in person, when you walk in and get goosebumps, that is your venue! Also look for a venue that has great customer service that will be there for you while you are planning and answer all the questions you will have along the way!”

901 Lindsay hopes to continues to be one of Chattanooga’s favorite venues for local and destination brides searching for a romantic and classic day. We enjoy working with their team and brides! They are very helpful and accommodating, which is very important to brides and coordinators!
